Jennie Macfie became a theatregoer at Sadlers Wells, aged 8, and has been addicted to the arts ever since. After graduating from Edinburgh University with a degree in Psychology, she worked in theatre before becoming an independent producer and distributor of films and television programmes. She has written the Gardens column for the Sunday Herald magazine since 2001, has been reviewing for Northings since 2004, and chairs the Promoters Arts Network and David Hughes Dance.
